Arundel Castle is a magnificent example of medieval architecture with a rich tapestry of history. Originally built in the late 11th century by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel, the castle has been the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk for over 400 years. The structure boasts an impressive Gothic style, with towers and battlements that capture the essence of its medieval origins. Over the centuries, it has undergone numerous renovations and restorations, particularly in the 18th and 19th centuries. Inside, it houses a treasure trove of historical artefacts, art, and opulent furnishings. The sprawling gardens, with their meticulously manicured landscapes, complement the grandeur of the castle itself.
