Hire of Premises

Where groups hire premises rather than meeting in a private house, we have to pay for the cost of hiring. To allow Group Leaders to be better informed, and therefore to make appropriate decisions about meeting venues you will find the schedule of current hire charges below.

NOTE: As a result of the energy crisis, all of the recorded room rental charges will undoubtedly increase

Janet Taylor has now taken over responsibility for Groups coordination and the above schedule will be updated shortly.

If your group wishes to hire a venue rather than meeting in private premises, you will need to budget to cover the cost of hiring the room

Ideally, Group Leaders should arrange to have invoices sent to them for verification and should be forwarded to the Treasurer only after verification. However the venue may send in a combined invoice for more than one interest group, in which case it will normally be sent directly to the Treasurer

KEY INFORMATION

  • Contacts are apt to change. Where known, the current contact is named
  • Premises charge lower rates for block bookings.
  • Storage of a group's own equipment is usually impossible
  • The data is not yet absolutely complete and is subject to change
  • Both Trinity Methodist Church and The Jubilee Centre have a large number of rooms
  • Generally, weekend bookings are not available (FRIDAY night through SUNDAY)
