The group is intended for those who have built a family tree with names, dates and places but want to research further into their family’s histories, by investigating their lives and extended family.

Each monthly meeting is based around a different topic, we all bring our own research to share with the rest of the group. These are examples of some of the topics we have recently covered: Reading Old handwriting, My Family in 1881, The Parish Chest and My ‘Oldest’ Ancestor.  

We are keen to pool ideas, discuss resources used, and share research tips to enable members to overcome the inevitable difficulties in tracing their ancestors.

Meetings are on the 3^rd Tuesday of the month, between 10 and 12, at Trinity Methodist Church.
